E48: New Year, Same You

Welcome to Season 2 of the Change Course podcast!

It's about that time of year when the wheels fall off of our New Year's resolutions and we face the cold hard reality of our holiday excess.  January 24th is called "The Most Depressing Day of the Year" for good reason!

But what can we learn from our mistakes around New Year resolution failure, and what can it tell us about how we actually change?

We get into how change actually happens and some of the things you can do to help change be successful both in your personal and professional lives.

I tell a little story about my garden and how I’m still harvesting Kale on Jan 10th,  and I also speak to the wisdom of one of my favorite books,  Atomic Habits, by James Clear.

We can change, its just not everything, all at once, all of the time. Despite our wishes, change takes time.

Good luck with your 2023 goals, and I hope to hear you achieved when we’re back in this spot again, in 2024!
